Terms of service
The short version. Use Klio for your own projects, keep your tokens to yourself, and don't abuse the service. What you put on the board stays yours. Klio is offered as it is and may change; you can leave whenever you like.
Using Klio
These terms apply when you use klio.dev, its app, its MCP server or its CLI. By signing in you agree to them. If you use Klio for a team or company, you confirm you can agree for them.
Your account
- Sign in with an email you control or your GitHub account. One person per account.
- Keep personal tokens secret. Anyone holding one can act on the projects it reaches, so revoke any you think has leaked.
- You're responsible for what happens under your account, including what agents and connected apps do with the access you give them.
Acceptable use
Don't use Klio to break the law or harm others. In particular, don't:
- try to reach other people's workspaces, or test Klio's security without permission;
- overload the service, or get around rate limits and caps;
- store other people's personal data you have no right to share, or content that's unlawful;
- resell or rebrand Klio as your own hosted service.

Agents and connected apps
- When you connect an agent or app, you choose what it reaches (all projects or some, full access or read only). Changes it makes on the board are made on your behalf.
- Disconnect it or revoke its token at any time in Settings → Agents.
- Those apps are run by other companies under their own terms. Klio isn't responsible for what they do with what they read.
Your content
- You own what you and your agents put on the board.
- You let Klio store, display and process it only to run the service for you: showing it in the app, answering your agents, and sending a request to the AI provider when you ask Klio AI to draft stories.
- Klio doesn't sell your content or use it to train models. See the privacy policy for the details.
AI drafts
Stories drafted by Klio AI or by your agent can be wrong or incomplete. Review them before you rely on them; nothing lands on the board until you approve it.
Availability and changes
- Klio is provided as it is, without guarantees of uptime or fitness for a particular purpose. Keep copies of anything you can't afford to lose (export a project as Markdown at any time).
- Features may change or be removed. A change that takes something away from you is announced in the app first.
- Klio is free to use today. If that changes, you'll be told before you're charged anything, and you can leave instead.
Ending
- You can stop using Klio at any time and ask for your account to be deleted (see the privacy policy).
- Access can be suspended for accounts that break these terms or put the service or other people at risk. Where it's safe to, you'll be told why.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Klio isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or work, arising from using the service. Nothing here limits rights you have that can't be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
When the terms change, the date at the top changes. Material changes are announced in the app before they apply; continuing to use Klio after that means you accept them.
